About the Role As a Fire Service Engineer , you will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of fire alarm and suppression systems. This hands-on role demands technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities include: Performing system maintenance, fault-finding, and responding to emergency callouts. Handling reactive, minor, or additional works on systems including: Automatic fire detection systems. Fire extinguishing systems (Gas Suppression). Fire Aspiration Alarm Systems. Conducting minor remedial and fault rectification works during PPM visits. Escalating urgent or critical issues and offering resourceful solutions. Assisting in mentoring trainees, ensuring best practices are upheld. Developing effective client relationships and identifying potential leads for future work. Preparing for and attending engineers’ meetings as required. What Our Client is Looking For Skills and Attributes: Proven experience in the fire industry with expertise in installing, testing, commissioning, and servicing fire alarm systems. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities, with the capability to resolve issues through elimination or technical recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and an understanding of software programming for systems such as Morley, Advanced, and Kentec. Competencies: Customer-focused with excellent client-facing skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
