For more details, visit http://www.escapecom.com/open-positions/ Job Description / Required Skills Job involves porting, updating, and testing VHDL modules from existing FPGA-based radios and integrating them into new radios targeting similar waveforms on new platforms. Must have experience in basic RTL design, handling multiple clock-domains, IP integration, and hierarchical design flow. Must have experience coding in VHDL. All modules and test-benches will be done in VHDL-2008. Escape does NOT use Verilog. Must have experience developing self-checking test-benches written in VHDL. Escape develops and tests against behavioral models and test-vectors. Escape does NOT use UVM. Must have experience with FPGA design flow. Escape uses Altera & Xilinx devices and Quartus & Vivado for FPGA development. Must have experience with VHDL simulation. Escape uses ModelSim for simulation. Must have basic understanding of networking and packet processing functions, e.g., basic Ethernet, Internet Protocol, encapsulation/decapsulation, filtering, formatting, buffering, and forwarding. Must have lab experience and be proficient at debugging modules and making them work on target platforms. DSP and communication processing experience are beneficial but are NOT a requirement. Some knowledge of tuning, filtering, FFTs, modulation/demodulation, and encoding/decoding is beneficial. C, C++, scripting, and Python are beneficial but are NOT a requirement. These are beneficial to aid the software development team in developing software for configuration and status of the VHDL modules as well as to support development, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. A bachelor’s degree in EE or CS is required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred. Successful applicant must be able to provide proof of authorization to work full-time in the US without visa sponsorship.
