Key Responsibilities: Manage the delivery of a full range of international tax services. Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations. Coordinate U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop optimal worldwide tax strategies. Plan tax-efficient inbound and outbound investments and business structures, considering FDII, PFIC, CFC (subpart F and GILTI), and branch profits tax issues. Restructure foreign ownership of U.S. real property to avoid or mitigate FIRPTA tax exposure. Perform estate, gift, and trust tax planning for multinational families in the U.S., including DNI and UNI calculations and distribution planning. Conduct pre-immigration income and estate tax planning for inbound multinational families. Plan tax-efficient expatriations for U.S. citizens and long-term residents. Structure cross-border debt instruments to qualify for the portfolio interest exemption. Perform tax compliance related to various U.S. tax and information returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-F, 1065, 1041, 706, 3520, 3520-A, 5471, 5472, 8865, and 8858. Represent clients before the IRS, including examinations and penalty abatement claims. Prepare and deliver internal trainings and external presentations on topics such as tax compliance, tax controversy hot topics, and the Corporate Transparency Act. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or JD preferred. Minimum of [X] years of experience in international tax consulting and compliance. Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills: Experience with legal research related to fraud, conspiracy, evidentiary, and sentencing issues. Experience drafting legal documents such as responses to motions, sentencing memorandums, and memorandums on statistical evidence in fraud cases. Experience attending trials, settlement conferences, strategy meetings, proffers, and hearings. Experience drafting construction contracts, non-disclosure agreements, settlement agreements, indemnity letters, and commercial leases. Experience investigating employment discrimination claims and drafting EEOC response letters. Knowledge of construction, employment, and commercial lease law.
