Key responsibilities include: Preparing accounts from various client systems, such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Preparing corporation tax computations Addressing queries raised by accounts and tax managers regarding accounts and working papers Finalising accounts following client meetings Acting as a point of contact for clients, addressing ad hoc queries Preparing management accounts and VAT returns Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members About the Firm This Newcastle-based accountancy firm is known for its client-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality services. Candidate Requirements ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualification or be a finalist, or be qualified by experience A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice (preferred) Strong technical knowledge and a good understanding of current legislation Experience preparing year-end accounts for owner-managed small to medium businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Excellent training and mentoring skills Proficiency in accounting software packages such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks (preferred) Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A proactive approach, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets What’s On Offer £28,000 to £38,000 per annum Full time, permanent role Flexible / hybrid working Company pension Full study support 25 days holiday Professional development opportunities Supportive working environment Inclusive company values Plus more Ready to progress in your practice career?
