Installation and Provisioning Engineer

Reporting into the Installation & Provisioning Manager, the Installation & Provisioning Engineer will be responsible for creating Planned Engineer Works (PEWS) for the active installation and commissioning team. You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring progress of a project and ensuring compliance. This role will be covering our Northwest network region and as such, there may be a requirement to travel or stay away overnight as and when required . What you'll do: Installation and termination of various cable types into cabinets Passive and Active equipment installation, Cat5e and 6 Install Copper and Fibre cable up to 500 meters Commissioning and testing Good engineering knowledge of motorway communications technology Installation and provisioning of motorway communication cabling to enable equipment to be commissioned to Highways Agency standards (MCX suite of drawings) Installation and commissioning of Networking components including DWDM equipment, switches and routers.
