This role will include ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting to meet business objectives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements in financial processes and controls. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in validating and analyzing month-end results, including P&L and balance sheet variances, and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Support the period review reporting process for Leadership and Board presentations
- Lead the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliation, journal/accrual entries, account reclassifications, inventory validation, period cutoff control, intercompany
- Support processes for accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Produce client financial statements in alignment with contract requirements, and contribute to creating insightful financial presentations for client management
- Conduct weekly expense reviews to identify variances or missing transactions and report root causes
- Collaborate with location management on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the financial reporting process
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business requirements
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting activities
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field required
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an accounting/finance role
- Experience with Restaurant365 Accounting software preferred
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite tools
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial metrics
- Experience in contract foodservice/restaurant industry is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a team player with a proactive approach
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Project management experience is a plus
- Driven by ambition and motivated to grow with the company
- CPA or FPAC preferred
