If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Classroom Supervisor for our recreational after school and school release programming at the JCC!
At the Minnesota JCC, we believe in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for all. Our Club J Afterschool Care is a hub of creativity, learning, and fun where elementary-aged students engage in exciting activities, games, and projects in a safe and supportive environment. We are currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our team and make a difference in the lives of young learners.
The Club J Program Assistant is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities for school-age children. The Program Assistant is an essential part of the staff team in ensuring that children are safe, that all JCC policies and procedures are followed, and in building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create and maintain an engaging, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment that is clean and organized.
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities such as gym and outdoor games, arts and crafts, supplementary academic curriculum and other topics as assigned.
- Manage group and individual behavior. Log and report behavior if necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude and dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Attend all staff training sessions, meetings and programs.
- Managing students at bus stop upon arrival and handle attendance.
- Ensure proper supervision of participants at all times, and ensure all youth are accounted for both at check-in, throughout the program, and during pick-up, following established protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age youth
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
