Job Description

Summary

As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit to the Stackpole Estate.

Please note, this role is based at busy visitor points and car parks across the Stackpole Estate, including Stackpole Quay, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Broad Haven South and Freshwater West.

Your own transport will be essential.

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2025

Salary: £11.64 per hour

Hours: Flexible hours. 2-5 days a week would be ideal, but your requirements will be discussed fully at interview. Hours will vary throughout the season. Weekends and public holidays will play a major part of this role.

This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible.

Start date: 1st March 2025 with training commencing week of 3rd March 2025.

Interview date: Week commencing 3rd February 2025

Internally this role will be known as 'Welcome & Service Assistant'.

Be part of Stackpole’s Welcome team on this beautiful stretch of coastline. With award-winning sandy beaches, tranquil wooded valleys, wildlife-rich lily ponds, walking trails and water sports; there’s lots to discover.

Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of staff and volunteers working at visitor points and car parks across the Stackpole Estate.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listening to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, no two days are the same.

Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service.
