Maintenenace Manager - Reading - Up To 32K Are you an experienced Maintenance professional with a passion for ensuring buildings are safe, functional, and up to the highest standards? We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Manager to join our team and take charge of the daily upkeep and safety of the hotel. This role involves a hands-on approach to maintaining the building, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. If you have solid technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the stamina to thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's structure and maintenance procedures. Monitor and manage water systems with Legionella knowledge. Oversee COSHH training and compliance within the team. Conduct basic electrical and plumbing repairs. Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment. Interpret technical manuals and drawings with ease. Communicate effectively with team members and contractors. Supervise and guide external contractors, ensuring proper sign-in and instruction. Manage and prioritise the Maintenance Log effectively. Collaborate with the General Manager daily to address priority tasks. What We're Looking For Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hotel maintenance. Knowledge: Strong grasp of Health & Safety standards, electrical and plumbing systems, and machinery used in hotel upkeep. Skills: Demonstrated leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to solve problems proactively. Preferred Experience At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (preferred but not essential). Work Location On-site, ensuring a physical presence to address maintenance needs promptly.
