Position: Senior Human Resources Advisor
Location: Gillingham, United Kingdom
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday: 07:30–16:00, Tuesday–Thursday: 07:30–15:30, Friday: 07:30–14:30 (37 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Some flexibility may be required.
Role Overview:
Act as a strategic partner to managers and employees, aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals. Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, foster a positive workplace culture, and support organisational performance. Manage complex employee relations cases, workplace investigations, and HR policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.
- Advise managers on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Conduct workplace investigations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures.
- Deliver training to managers on employment law and HR best practice.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures.
- Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actions.
- Design and lead recruitment and wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage and deliver HR projects.
Person Specification:
- CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior HR role, with a focus on employee relations.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday HRIS) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinker with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to build trust at all levels.
