IT Workshop Manager
Hertford - this is a rural location just outside Hertford. You must have your own transport.
Salary range - around £30,000 per annum
Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5.30 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Our client provide a range of IT services to their clients, mainly to deliver music and AV to high end restaurants, hotels and retailers aroung the world.
As IT Workshop Manager, you will lead the assembly and quality control of PC-based music players. This role involves managing and executing the build and setup of the devices, as well as overseeing player and AV equipment stock. You'll ensure that all systems meet the high standards for performance and reliability, supporting smooth system installations in prestigious locations worldwide.
On a day to day basis you will:
* Oversee and complete the assembly and configuration of PC-based music players for use in hospitality and retail settings.
* Manage stock levels of media players, ensuring readiness for installations and maintenance.
* Manage stock levels of AV equipment for project installations.
* Test, troubleshoot, and maintain high standards of quality control for all hardware.
* Collaborate with the technical team to continually improve build processes and efficiency.
* Document procedures and ensure all equipment is cataloged and properly stored.
I'm looking for someone with a solid background in IT, AV, or the electrical industry who is organized, detail-oriented, and driven by a commitment to quality. You should be comfortable working in a hands-on workshop environment and have the technical expertise to manage builds and stock effectively.
* Experience in IT, AV, or a related field, with strong hands-on skills in hardware assembly or repair.
* Familiarity with PC hardware and basic networking.
* Knowledge of AV equipment is a strong advantage.
* Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues independently.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to work either full-time or part-time as required.
