To build on our success we are currently seeking project surveyors for a number of newly secured major projects across the capital.
The Project:
We have recently been awarded this project and it will be a Social/Private housing job in Hackney.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Undertake on-the-job training and attend short courses to build the skills, knowledge and experience to progress in construction health and safety management.
* Assist the Health and Safety Manager with Health and Safety monitoring activities.
* Assist the Health and Safety Manager with the management of fire safety throughout the project
* Assist in Health and Safety audits and produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
* Conduct daily site inductions and review induction forms and competence cards.
* Assist the Health and Safety Manager to maintain and coordinate the training of operatives.
* Assist in the identification of need and preparation of risk assessments, compliance and training of staff, with particular reference to, manual handling, and working at height
* Assist in delivering Toolbox Talks.
* Administer in 4P the H&S section and upload documents.
* Review and record checks on all fire exits, fire and fire equipment, and fire signs. Replace extinguishes, signage etc.
* Review relevant safety signage on site. Print signage and display it in the relevant places.
* Assist in producing the Weekly H&S Site Inspections
* Assist in producing the Monthly Environmental Inspections
* Be responsible for maintaining Site Safety Files
* Assist in preparations for Considerate Constructor Audits
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Required:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
GCSCs (5 of them grade A to C) or equivalent
Document verification training
Desirable:
First Aid at Work
