Reporting into the Director of Highways, the Assurance Delivery Director will lead strategic programmes that enable the business to deliver its business performance targets and drive positive change at a Client and Industry sector level to raise the bar for risk management and assurance delivery. This is a hybrid working role, with travel to our Warwick HQ as well as other sites on a weekly basis.

Reporting into the Director of Highways, the Assurance Delivery Director will lead strategic programmes that enable the business to deliver its business performance targets and drive positive change at a Client and Industry sector level to raise the bar for risk management and assurance delivery. What you'll do:
- Develop and lead the Delivery Assurance strategy for Highways across all services and programmes, ensuring QEHS, Training, and Cyber Risk and Compliance are integrated into all aspects of the business
- Implementing and operate a full Governance, Risk and Compliance structure across all Highways programmes, using leading risk methodologies and embedding the into BAU, to eliminate or mitigate significant risk that maintain legal and contractual compliance for £100m business.
- Working with leading industry domain leaders to ensure Telent proactively manage all existing and future regulatory and contractual compliance in a highly safety and security critical environment is managed and maintained at all times
- Developing behavioural programmes and initiatives to improve the overall Safety First Culture for the Business Unit, contributing to the development and maintenance of the Telent health and safety management system
- Managing the Cyro relationship and service delivery for Highways, working with the Cyro SLT to ensure the service performance meets our assurance programme targets in line with budget and business objectives.
- Leadership of business vertical technical Training and Development capabilities that enable business vertical to maintain its compliance, licencing, and technical accreditations
Who you are:
You will have experience in a similar role in a high risk or regulated industry, with a passion for driving change and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a strong people manager, with the ability to work cross functionally with excellent collaboration skills.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with Clients, partners, and colleagues to develop and implement broad ranging assurance programmes
- Experienced in the application and operation of the relevant UKAS accredited standards; ISO9001:2015, ISO45000 and ISO14001:2015
- Significant experience at senior level for the delivery of EHS services to a national multi-site organisation
- Demonstrable experience of working in regulated industries in a similar field at a senior strategic level, achieving results on profit, operational performance, continuous improvement and people leadership
- Experience of working in a Transportation technology services business sector or environment e.g., Rail and/or Traffic/Highways or Aerospace, Emergency Services related industry sectors
