Your New Role:

As an experienced Strategic Marketing Manager, you are ready to take ownership for creating and driving the marketing strategy for your assigned B2B market segments; Projects & Small Trades. As the senior marketing authority for your assigned sectors, you will use market research and customer understanding to create a best in class marketing strategy and communications plan that meets business objectives and drives measurable growth.


A forward-thinking, self-motivated individual who is passionate about customer engagement and truly innovative marketing strategies, you will work alongside the Category, Ecommerce Trading, Digital Marketing and Creative teams, as well as key stakeholders around the business, to support sales growth in your market segments. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to manage key stakeholders, consider departmental & business objectives and manage several large projects at once.


As a senior member of the Marketing team you will play an important role in contributing to the evolution of our overall customer strategies, ultimately positioning the company for long-term success.


Key Responsibilities:

Market Segment Knowledge & Understanding:

Develop and maintain a thorough and in-depth understanding and knowledge of your sector to support marketing strategies and activities to ultimately drive business growth through your customer channels


Defining the Customer Marketing Strategy:

Creating a comprehensive customer marketing strategy for your assigned market segments including identifying new opportunities and initiatives to drive sales and customer engagement.


Creation and implementation of the Customer Marketing Plan:

Creating a well thought out customer omnichannel marketing plan which delivers against the customer marketing strategy. You will lead on market segment relevant marketing activity, including but not limited to events, literature, PR, advertising, sales support, e-mail, digital activities, and hospitality


Teamwork:

You will work alongside the wider teams in eCommerce, creative, 3rd parties, digital teams and category teams to ensure a collaborative and aligned delivery of your plan and build strong relationships with key stakeholders


Stakeholder Management:

You will be a confident and clear presenter of opportunities to the Management Leadership Team and other key stakeholders in order to engage and influence and gain management sign-off


Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, specifically in ecommerce trading

Excellent English communication skills – oral and written

Excellent organization and collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks to a high standard

Educated to degree-level or equivalent

Able to work effectively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders.

Demonstrable experience in developing successful strategic marketing plans which deliver results

Keen interest in the latest marketing trends in the marketplace
