TRG have a fantastic new opportunity for a Payroll Administrator within our Central Services in Newcastle, UK. Our global HQ! This position will be an integral part of our Business Support back office function, responsible for processing multiple internal payrolls. This involves assisting accurately with new starters, leavers, pay changes and all global timesheets within our payroll systems/procedures. Ensuring all employees are paid on time for each critical pay period. Reporting into the Payroll Team Leader, the successful candidate will thrive in a small, successful, sociable team. Working alongside the current administrators to ensure all payrolls are processed efficiently. Responding to queries and resolving issues when raised in a professional and timely matter. Attention to detail and a positive, resilient, flexible, attitude are key to success. Full training & clear career plan provided. Based on personal performance not business capacity to future senior/leadership levels.


What we’re looking for?

  • Some prior Payroll experience is beneficial but not essential, full training is provided.
  • 1 year + Finance/Business/Customer Service/Education related administration skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and handling sensitive/confidential data is preferred.
  • Detail orientated, resilient, organised, flexible, positive, problem solving personality.

What you'll be doing?

  • Processing all payroll data, adhering to the set KPI’s.
  • Processing all timesheet data accurately and on time.
  • Respond/resolve all queries in line with the set SLA’s.
  • Assisting the TL and Senior Payroll Administrator with ad hoc tasks.
  • Tracking pension changes and issuing documents.
  • Calculating and managing overpayments.
  • Raising payments.
  • Supporting on projects


The successful candidate will be detail oriented and take pride in a task/job well done. They'll produce highly accurate results on a daily basis and be analytical with an ambition to problem solve. The appointed person will constantly act with professionalism, remaining confidential at all times, bearing in mind the nature of the data they are dealing with. They will hold excellent customer services skills with a confident yet empathetic approach when dealing with sensitive queries. They will be able to follow stringent processes without deviation, appreciating the importance of each step and its impact. They will work well towards deadlines and be adaptable within a fast paced environment. A team player who is happy to help other individuals when needed but can also work well independently and be trusted to meet deadlines once trained.
