About the role
Youll ensure all aspects of hotel maintenance and property are kept to the very best standards and in line with all relevant health and safety legislature and procedures. Youll also keep an organised and secure maintenance office, be responsible for the efficient operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, and create and maintain the preventative maintenance plan. Youll play a key part in organising and managing service contracts, receiving quotes for ad-hoc requirements, and be the main contact for all contractors. You'll keep up to date with the maintenance log to ensure jobs are completed efficiently so that guest satisfactions are met during their stay.
About you
Experience of working in a maintenance department preferably within a hotel is required. You will have the ability to create a maintenance schedule, ability to troubleshoot, knowledge of structure or grounds to be maintained, knowledge of maintenance procedures, knowledge of systems to be maintained (e.g. Electrical, roofing, pool), and a trade qualification would be desirable.

- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy great at managing ones own time and the time of the team
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety, Fire Safety, building codes, laws and regulations and all role related statutory requirements, promoting a safety conscious working environment at all times
- Effective at cost control Keeping things like wages and supplies within budget
- A good understanding of heating, ventilation and plumbing building services, with up-to-date knowledge of maintenance techniques. Experience of using old and new style equipment
