MacGregor Black are partnering with a Premium Wine and Spirits business, on the search for an Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in North West England.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Develop, manage, and nurture key relationships with premium on-trade accounts, ensuring long-term success and growth.
- Route To Market Strategy: Implement and optimize Route To Market strategies to ensure that our products are available, visible, and in-demand at all key touchpoints within the on-trade sector.
- Sales Growth: Deliver against sales targets and KPIs, leveraging a deep understanding of the on-trade and premium spirits markets to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador for [Brand Name], ensuring the brand is represented in line with our values and premium positioning.
- New Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the on-trade channel, targeting high-end venues and new market segments.
- Customer Insights: Gather and analyse customer feedback and market trends to inform strategy and optimize our product offerings and campaigns.
- Event Management: Organize and participate in trade events, tastings, and promotions to raise the brand’s profile and build strong customer relationships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to ensure the effective execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the on-trade sector.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience in account management within the wine and spirits industry, with a focus on the on-trade channel.
- Premium/Prestige Background: Experience working with premium or luxury brands in the wine and spirits sector is essential.
- Route To Market Expertise: Strong understanding of Route To Market strategies and the ability to implement them effectively within the on-trade environment.
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with high-end venues and establishments.
- Sales Acumen: Strong sales background with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
- Networking: Established network within the on-trade sector (bars, restaurants, hotels, etc.) would be a distinct advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to drive sales growth.
- Passionate about premium wine and spirits.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dynamic and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and customer-centric approach.
Salary up to £60k + benefits.
