Senior Children’s Support Worker
Blackpool
Pay- £15 - £16/ hour for night shifts
Duration- Permanent
Hours- Day and Night shifts
Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the children’s care plans
Provide practical and emotional support
Ensure their needs are recognised and met
Ensure education is promoted and supported and that the Child’s attendance in education is maintained
Promote positive behaviour and manage difficult situations
Support and develop the social skills of the young people
Organise and supervise leisure activities such as holidays and camps
Protect the young people from harm in and outside the home
Raise any serious issues or concerns directly with the Manager
Take part in household duties such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, showing the children and encouraging the young people to keep their rooms tidy
Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals
Assist the management in the home with compliance for Ofsted
Attend meetings and training when required Requirements
Relevant qualification
Extensive experience of direct work with Children
Ability to engage with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
