The ServiceNow Developer role:

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer to join our Technology Services team. We are in a period of significant change and this role will play a pivotal part in our journey to deliver a great experience for our colleagues as we embark on an expansion of the use of ServiceNow to drive improvements across YBS.

This is a hybrid role, where you can blend working from home, with office presence dependant on business requirements.

About the ServiceNow Developer role:

As ServiceNow Developer, youll provide technical insights on the capabilities and best practices of the ServiceNow platform and obtain & analyse/ interpret business requirements to build sustainable solutions in ServiceNow. You will

Translate business requirements into functional design, and propose API based solutions focused on usability and automation

Align to product roadmap to ensure strategic alignment

Identify areas of process and tooling improvement to provide necessary solutions

Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes

Support integration with third party systems and testing

Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues

Answer technical and application configuration questions

Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets

Create and maintain system design and operations documentation

Participate in daily scrum calls with scrum master and the customer

The ideal ServiceNow Developer will need the following:

Youll have a good understanding of the overall architecture of ServiceNow with professional experience developing on the ServiceNow platform including the creation, configuration, and /or customisation of ServiceNow products such as GR&C, SecOps. With a minimum ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification, you will have -

Knowledge of the data model, workflows, and development best practices

Experience developing & administrating on a ServiceNow Platform including working with Workflows, Flows, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Catalogue Items & Record Producers, Groups, Roles, Tables

Good coding experience with XML, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS etc Experience of working on the Employee Service Center

ITIL Framework: Understanding ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles can help in aligning ServiceNow processes with best practices in IT service management

Problem solving skills and experience of end-to-end development activities for a specific enhancement or project

Excellent communication and people skills, along with the ability to work well in a team environment

Ideally have additional certifications such as Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist
