We have a brilliant opportunity for an experiencedMaintenance Engineerto join our dedicated engineering team here at Florette in Lichfield (WS13 8NF). Our engineers play a vital role in our business, maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site so that we can supply the nation with our award winning salads! Working in teams of three on a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, you willperform cyclical equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues and make on-site repairs when needed. The successful candidate will be electrically biased or strongly multi-skilled across both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.Experience of refrigeration, chlorine or compressed air would be a notable advantage, along with an understanding of food safety.
We're really excited about what's in store for our Engineering department in 2025. We're midway through implementing plans to develop/replace some of the equipment on our site, with further projects in the works! This role offers an opportunity for a proactive and innovative individual to drive forward technological advancements and make a significant contribution to the future of engineering projects within our organisation, that will give the successful candidate notable expansions in their personal development and overall skillset.
Pay: £51,000 per annum
Working pattern: Panama Shift - 12 hour shifts | Rotating days & nights | 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am.
Main Responsibilities
- Day to day upkeep of Production Equipment and Machinery.
- Site-wide Preventative Maintenance.
- Reacting to breakdowns quickly in order to reduce downtime.
- Equipment repair, technical repairing, in addition to factory start up and testing.
- The accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline or a recognised apprenticeship in engineering.
- Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment.
- A Multi-Skilled Engineer with strong knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong diagnostic fault finding capability.
- Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
- A proactive Health and Safety mindset with excellent attention for detail.
