What the Job Involves
The role involves joining Cardiff City Council's Locality and Intake teams to handle Child Protection cases, Pre-Proceedings, and Court cases. You will work within the Social Services and Well Being Act (Wales) 2014, focusing on preventing the escalation of needs by working in partnership with families. As part of the CASP, CP, PLO, and Court team, you will work with children whose names are on the Child Protection Register. You will provide high-quality services and support empowered decision-making in families through effective relationships. Training opportunities and monthly supervision are offered. The role requires you to safeguard children, build on family relationships, and work closely with the team, benefiting from the guidance of experienced team managers. You will help families to create a happy and safe home environment, listening to their needs and helping guide them toward their best outcomes.
