Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct detailed assessments of patients with a variety of physical, mental health, and cognitive conditions, identifying functional limitations and providing tailored, evidence-based treatment plans. Regularly review and update care plans to reflect changes in patients' conditions and needs.

Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individualized therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities (e.g., dressing, cooking, mobility) and enhance their independence. Utilize a range of techniques such as graded activity, functional rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic exercises.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical teams, physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and contributing to comprehensive care planning.

Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise junior occupational therapists, support workers, and students. Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, and guidance to ensure high standards of practice. Offer advice and training to colleagues and contribute to their professional development.

Patient Education & Empowerment: Educate patients and their families about conditions, therapeutic interventions, and strategies to manage daily tasks effectively. Empower patients to engage in their rehabilitation process and make informed decisions about their care and independence.

Quality Improvement & Best Practice: Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices. Participate in audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and improve the delivery of occupational therapy services
