The Role

We’re looking for a mid-level Laravel/PHP Backend Developer to join our dedicated development

team. You’ll contribute to building, enhancing, and maintaining our platform by developing an

advanced backend API that connects our system to various platforms while rolling out exciting new

features for our clients.

Our primary stack is in PHP using the Laravel framework, complemented by Node.js for specific

platform components. We work hard but also value having fun together, and we’re committed to

creating a supportive, enjoyable work environment.

This is a fully remote position, and our team is spread across multiple countries, offering flexibility

while closely working together at the heart of what we do.

Role : Laravel/PHP Backend Developer

Base : UK or Ireland

Work from home : This can be a fully remote role or based in our Dublin office. There will be an expectation to come to the office twice per year.

Term : Full time.

Salary: £ 30-40k

The role…

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a robust backend API;
• Extend our platform with new features across the board;
• Collaborate with the team to implement seamless API integrations with third-party platforms, mainly focusing on IoT infrastructure;
• Support application deployment and maintenance in a Linux/AWS environment.

Requirements:

• Advanced experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel;
• Comfortable working with Node.js when required;
• Strong understanding of backend development and API design;
• Familiarity with web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript);
• Experience with MySQL and database optimization;
• Proficiency with Git for version control.

Bonus skills:

• Familiarity with frontend technologies;
• Experience with IoT systems;
• Proficiency in Linux server management and deployment;
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (like Ansible, Terraform);
• Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Bitbucket);
• Ability to monitor and debug scalable, high-performance applications.
