Exciting Opportunity: Sous Chef for the Royal Household
Are you an experienced and passionate chef seeking a truly unique role? The Royal Household is looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our prestigious culinary team, overseeing on a daily bases working with the brigade to deliver staff food. You will alos be involved in the creation of world-class meals for the Royal Family once you are established in the kitchen. You will be to working on stunning events and banquetting so if you are working in a large highend hotel and looking to something new then this could be an amazing opportunity. On a normal day with no events this role is mainly Monday to Friday day time hours. You will then step in to the events season producing amazing banquetting adn leading the brigade along side the head chef.
As part of this dynamic team, you'll take on the important responsibility of ensuring that staff dining meets the highest standards, while also working alongside some of the country's finest chefs, with the potential to contribute to meals served to the Royal Family in the future. This is a very unique opportunity that will allow you to really develop your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of staff dining, ensuring meals are prepared to the highest standards.
- This will include fresh soups and composite salads and sandwiches
- Collaborate with senior chefs to plan, prepare, and execute exquisite dishes for the Royal Family and guest for events.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene, safety, and kitchen standards in line with Royal Household protocols.
- Flexibility to travel for up to 12 weeks per year to various Royal residences and events, you will get time back once you return from the location.
- 5 over 7 days mainly day times but need to be flexible to do share of evenings and weekends
- 7 am start day shift will finish around 4pm on a day with no events Monday to Friday
- During summer catering for up to 500 staff members of staff
- Large high end Hotel experience is desirable
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end or luxury hotel
- Passion for culinary excellence, with strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment while maintaining composure.
- Flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally as needed.
- Strict Background checks will be required.
