Pastry Commis Chef Required for a 5* Luxury Hotel - Piccadilly / St James / Central London

Luxury High End Restaurant within a 5* Hotel - 2AA Rosette - 40 Hour Weekly Contract!

Starting Salary of £30,000 pa


We are seeking an exceptional Pastry Commis Chef to join our client's Luxury 5* hotel restaurant team!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and talented Pastry Commis Chef to join the team within our luxury high end restaurant within one of London's finest 5* Hotels located in the heart of Central London.

The Pastry Kitchen is responsible for the preparation and service of food within the Award Winning Restaurant, Afternoon Tea, In Room Dining and our luxury event space, catering for around 1000 people per day. Seasonal ingredients and locally sourced produce are the hallmarks of our dining menus. Simply delicious, and deliciously simple.

As aPastry Commis Chefyou will be responsible for

  • Ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
  • Working with and supporting Chef de Parties, Demi Chef de Parties and other Commis Chefs.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion control.

About Us:One of London's most iconic and well known luxury hotels is set to redefine luxury and hospitality in Central London. As part of our culinary team, you'll have the chance to contribute to this exciting venture and create memorable dining experiences for our esteemed guests. The restaurant concept will be based on an Italian theme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes according to established standards.
  • Supervise and train the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Contribute creative ideas to menu development and special events.
  • Uphold food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Pastry Commis Chef.
  • Luxury restaurant or 5* hotel experience preferred - however not essential.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for innovative cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of various cuisines, cooking methods, and food presentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and demands.
