Male workers play a vital role in creating positive role models for children and young people, especially boys and young men, as they navigate lifes challenges and opportunities.

About Us

We provide tailored support for children and young people aged 526, helping them thrive in line with theGIRFEC(Getting It Right for Every Child) approach andSHANARRIwellbeing indicators. Our services span recreational activities, educational support, personal care, and life skill development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build meaningful, supportive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
• Deliver a range of activities to promote recreation, education, and personal growth.
• Support young people in achieving their goals and targets.
• Provide personal care in a way that upholds dignity and respect.
• Work in line with theHealth and Social Care Standardsand theSSSC Codes of Practice.

• A commitment to the principles of GIRFEC and SHANARRI frameworks.
• Flexibility to work shifts between 7:30 am and 9:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.
• Willingness to register with theSSSCand maintain compliance with professional standards.
• A desire to grow professionally through training and education opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience in child and youth care (preferred but not essential).
• PVG/Disclosure Scotland clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Registration to the Scottish Social Service Council ( or willingness to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
