Job Title: Senior Estimator
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 (Plus additional company benefits, including share options)

As well as a client facing personality, this role requires strong skills in M&E building services engineering as well as strong knowledge estimating both partitioning and carpeting due to the nature of works. With project values ranging from £5 million to £30 million, they continue to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a strong connection between leadership and their employees.
This is an exciting new opening within the business suited to a hungry Main Contracting Estimator who is looking to join a firm that have kept their collaborative team culture whilst growing into an extremely successfully business which isn't set to slow down any time soon.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to Interrogate, and define Client briefs from site visits to produce detailed estimate
Liaise with internal and external services teams and coordinate fully inclusive estimates
Establish new tender opportunities by understanding job specifications and drawings.
Accurately calculate take-offs from drawings including materials and hours.
Maintaining the approved suppliers list.
Attend site/tender walkthroughs to cross reference drawings to identify proactive solutions and avoid potential site interferences where required.
Understanding of the planning and sequencing of construction of projects.
Communication with client to clarify unclear specifications/wording through RFI's.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing used for bid submission.
Participate in site reviews, tender reviews, tender hand-over and project close out meetings as needed.
Support the Estimating manager and preconstruction manager with their role.
Key Experience and Skills Required
Educational Background: Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in Building Services Engineering.
Proven experience in main contracting/construction estimation, including knowledge of architectural, building services, builders works and civil packages.
Extensive Experience in estimating and quoting.
Extensive understanding of Building regulations.
Be able to manage your own workload.
Proficient in MS Office, word and excel, and other related computer programs.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Full UK Driving license with the ability to attend site/tender walkthroughs covering the UK.
Remuneration Package
Competitive basic salary (dependent on experience and track record).
