Remedicare are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for our clients care home in the Betchworth Area!
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to support our team and ensure the efficient and effective running of the kitchen. You must always strive to be the best, delivering the best food experience and be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with strong communication skills. You will be hands on with an eye for detail, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.
They can offer competitive hourly pay, paid breaks, uniform and paid DBS along with additional company benefits. They are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Chef’s to be part of the team.
Chef job details:
(You must be eligible to work in the UK)
* 40 hours contracted per week
* Pay – £13.50 to £14ph
* Shift times: 7am - 3pm
Sous Chef - Duties and Responsibilities?
Under the guidance of a Head Chef on duty, you will be a part of a dedicated team.You will be preparing and cooking high quality meals and assisting the Head Chef and Home Manager in menu planning. The Sous Chef must ensure Residents with special dietary needs receive attractive, appropriate and varied meals.
* Menu planning.
* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
* Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
* Recording food temperature
Role Requirements:
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and individually
* Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents
* Experience in a similar environment.
* Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards.
* Passionate about cooking
