Job Description

Green Bar is a sophisticated and stylish bar located within the luxurious Hotel Café Royal in Central London. Named after the iconic drink absinthe, our bar offers a unique experience with a specialty absinthe menu that features innovative cocktails and shots. We pride ourselves on providing guests with an exceptional drinking experience in an elegant setting. We are seeking a talented and creative Bartender / Mixologist to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

As a Bartender / Mixologist at Green Bar, you will be responsible for crafting and serving an extensive range of cocktails, with a special focus on absinthe-based drinks. You will create a memorable experience for our guests through your knowledge of mixology, excellent customer service, and attention to detail.

Green Bar is open daily from 12pm to 12am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages, specializing in absinthe cocktails and shots, ensuring quality and presentation meet our luxury standards.
  • Develop new and innovative drink recipes that highlight absinthe while appealing to a diverse clientele.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, offering recommendations, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
  • Maintain an organized and clean bar area, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring all equipment and tools are in excellent working condition.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, and other supplies, and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Train and mentor junior bartending staff on mixology techniques, absinthe knowledge, and customer service excellence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new spirits, and cocktail techniques to enhance the bars offerings and guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the management team to create seasonal menus, special promotions, and events that attract guests to Green Bar.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist in a high-end bar, restaurant, or luxury hotel environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and mixology techniques, with a particular focus on absinthe.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to craft unique and visually appealing cocktails.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as Green Bar is open daily from 12 pm to 12 am (until 1am for guests staying in the hotel).
  • Positive attitude and a team player mentality.
