The role of the Project Accountant will be the primary interface between sites and the finance function, working to ensure transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The role plays and important part in ensuring the commercial and financial reports reflect the performance of the projects accurately.
This role will be based at our Head Office in Islington and will be a Hybrid role that will consist of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out monthly cost accruals and journal postings
* Process contract sales transactions and undertake credit control for invoiced works and retention
* Assist sites in monthly reporting on the financial performance of the projects
* A point of contact for site to get help and support; investigate and resolve queries relating to the processing of costs and value
* Supporting and working with sites to ensure they follow corporate process and procedures
* Attend monthly Project Review Meetings and provide management with insight into the key aspects of the financial performance of the projects
* Undertake monthly VAT calculations for projects
* Assist in compiling information for external auditors
We’re Looking For:
* Qualified or studying towards CIMA or another professional accountancy qualification
* Experience working within a Finance Department
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience working within the construction Industry is highly desirable.
