This role is a UK-based, mostly in-office role across our sites in London and Reading. Leading the operations across clinic, pharmacy and logistics businesses.


Job Description

As General Manager of Operations, you will join the UK leadership team, overseeing the strategic direction and operational execution of Montu’s core business units. Representative of Montu’s core business to date, this comprises a team of 120+ people across clinical operations, pharmacy, wholesale, logistics, patient experience, marketing, and tech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cannabis care while driving patient satisfaction and business performance.


This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with experience in D2C businesses, operational leadership, and a strong ability to scale organisations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership:

  • Drive a results-oriented, startup-inspired culture, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Develop and implement a robust D2C strategy aligned with Montu’s long-term objectives.
  • Identify and act on market opportunities, making data-driven investments to support sustainable growth.
  • Build and scale high-performing teams with structures and processes that support Montu’s lifecycle stage.


Growth & Brand Development:

  • Partner with marketing teams to optimise digital and offline campaigns, strengthening patient engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Monitor market trends and patient feedback, refining strategies to maintain Montu’s competitive edge.
  • Foster partnerships and collaborations within the broader healthcare sector to expand reach and impact.


Patient Experience:

  • Champion a patient-first culture, ensuring operational decisions enhance service quality and retention.
  • Collaborate with tech and product teams to deliver exceptional, scalable solutions for patient care.
  • Leverage patient insights to continually improve services and drive innovation.


Performance Management:

  • Define and monitor KPIs across patient retention, operational efficiency, and growth.
  • Regularly present performance insights and strategies to the MD, CEO, and leadership team.


Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management:

  • Work closely with pharmacy, commercial, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and B2B alignment.
  • Maximise sales across clinical and pharmacy teams and execute on the commercial strategy
  • Drive innovation in systems, technology, and processes to position Montu for future growth.
