Part Time, Casual hours
Hourly paid, £27.05 per hour

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Casual British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter to provide professional interpreting services during scheduled events, including set open events and award ceremonies, and offer support to learners as required. The role will involve interpreting spoken English to British Sign Language, ensuring accessibility and effective communication for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will be part of a supportive team, ensuring an inclusive environment for all attendees and learners.
Confirmed 2025 Events Requiring Interpreter Support:
Monday, 27th January 2025: BSDC Open Day, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (2 hours)
Saturday, 8th March 2025: SBCA Open Day, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (2 hours)
Saturday, 5th April 2025: BSDC Open Day, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (3 hours)
Friday, 24th October 2025: BSDC Graduation, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5 hours)
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
