Print Team Leader, Weymouth, £40,000
Purpose
As a Print Team Leader, you will support the shift manager in managing the running of the web press to produce products to the highest quality and as efficiently as the job and machinery will permit. You'll be print knowledgeable, have experience operating presses, used to working on your own initiative, and comfortable working on a late shift pattern.

This will be on a Night Shift (37.5 hour week):
Sunday (18:00 – 02:30)
Monday (16:00 – 02:00)
Tuesday (14:30 – 02:00)
Wednesday (16:00 – 02:00)
As a Print Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
Following job bag instructions to ensure seamless press operations.
Assisting with press setup, including plating and de-plating.
Maintaining the press area and equipment in optimal condition, ensuring adherence to housekeeping standards.
Monitoring quality standards during production and making necessary adjustments.
Supporting reelstand operations and managing reelstand control panel adjustments.
Maintaining web tensions, ink/water balance, and register controls.
Filling out paperwork to meet quality and compliance standards.
Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot and optimize press performance.
Assisting in scheduled maintenance and repairs with minimal downtime.
Your experience will include as a Print Team Lead:
Knowledge of press operational systems and litho print processes.
Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic understanding of technical drawings and diagrams.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience in web offset, newspaper printing, or gravure manufacturing is highly desirable.
