Responsibilities Our internship program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Post Holdings and gain meaningful, hands-on entry level work experience in a professional environment. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career with Post. As a part of our internship curriculum, we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various branches of the company. We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to get you to your goals. At the end of the program each intern will give a brief presentation to their mentors summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working at Post Holdings. The Post Holdings’ Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team is responsible for assessing enterprise food safety risks and supporting the Post Holdings’ business units with regulatory compliance, food safety and quality program development, and culture development, to mitigate and prevent risks. The internship role will be engaged in the following activities: Assessment of emerging risks via tracking human and pet food recall trends and other methods. Defining standards and best practices for key food safety programs – Environmental Monitoring, Sanitation, Recall, etc. Spearheading additional projects as needed. Work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Qualifications In pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Food Science, Dairy or Meat Science, Food Engineering, Food Microbiology or closely related field. Professionalism, curiosity, accountability. Should have strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Must display a professional appearance and attitude. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
