Job Description
We are looking for a Survey Manager to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This surveyor will work on multiple projects on a broad range of project types.
For this position the Survey Manager applies knowledge of surveying principles and techniques in a broad area of land and construction surveying. Survey Manger is responsible for
maintaining files of surveys and plats, makes independent decisions on surveying problems and methods. Manages survey crews and is responsible for assignment and coordination of survey operations.. Prepares survey proposals.

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes work and assists with survey proposal preparation
Assists with client conferences
Seals (PLS) plats, legal descriptions, and ALTA Surveys
Prepare reports and correspondence with agencies and clients
Estimates staffing and survey equipment needs and schedules
Schedules survey crews and office personnel
Reviews final legal descriptions, survey plats, design surveys, and field notes reductions for accuracy and completeness
Trains personnel
Provides periodic field observations during survey
Sets standards for survey department
Performs or directs computations for control surveys, subdivision of sections, boundary surveys and easements
Makes analysis of documentary and physical evidence
Writes and reviews legal descriptions
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Land Surveyors license (PLS)
Ability to deal with clients
Ability to do advanced GPS and survey calculations
Minimum 12 years surveying experience
Demonstrated ability to manage survey staff
Manages survey projects in a profitable manner
DESIRED QUALIFICIATIONS
Experience in work in both the field and office
Established client base and marketing abilities
Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in surveying or civil engineering technology
