Job Description

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in Jay, OK is seeking a full-time, Primary Care Physician. Ideal candidate would be board certified/eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with extensive women’s health experience. We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans.
Candidates must possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State.
Highlights of this opportunity:
  • Potential starting base salary range: $232K-243K
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M (Telework may be offered after an initial 90 day period and subject to supervisory approval)Performs and records history and physical examinations and records data from clinic visits.
  • Provides medical care encompassing acute and chronic medical conditions and all appropriate preventive care for both male and female veterans.
  • Prescribes medications according to approved formulary, and in accordance with Federal and State Law.
  • Orders diagnostic tests, medications, laboratory tests as medically relevant for each patient.

Jay- Jay is located at the junction of State Highways 59 and 20. n 1967 business leaders established the Huckleberry Festival. This event, sponsored by the chamber of commerce, is held each year during the Fourth of July holiday, with activities ranging from a parade and arts-and-crafts displays to a carnival and turtle races for children. Jay is located near a multitude of outdoor and recreational adventures. From kayaking and canoeing to hiking and bike trails to off road parks that feature white sand. There are several farmers markets and unique craft boutiques for that real small town feel, yet close to bigger cities like Tulsa, OK, Kansas City, KS and Springfield, MO.
