BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Welcome to this exciting hybrid opportunity! This job will require training in North Bend, OR resulting in full time work in Medford, OR. You will be required to have your own reliable transportation for this job opening.
Performs daily countroom practices and procedures. Maintains all count records and reports required by countroom procedures.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
* Performs daily countroom activities in accordance with all applicable internal controls and procedures
* Assists other count team members as necessary
* Provides excellent team member relations
* Competently and efficiently uses counting machines as required
* Maintains all assigned records and reports in an accurate and timely manner
* Maintains appropriate security measures to protect company assets and confidential company information
* Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures
* Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
* High School diploma or GED preferred
* Minimum one year acceptable cash handling experience; ability to keep paperwork "in balance"
* Demonstrated ability in cash and paperwork handling
* Ability to professionally perform in any countroom capacity
* General working knowledge of cage and casino operations preferred but not required
* Team oriented
* Demonstrated ability to conduct countroom operations in accordance with prescribed standards
* Professional appearance and attitude
* Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions):
Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Must be able to bend, twist, kneel and lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
