Northwell Health’s Division of Nephrology is seeking a BC/BE nephrologist to join its academic faculty at its main campus at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Great Neck, NY. This clinician educator position combines clinical care with teaching responsibilities and optional research opportunities. We are seeking physicians who will thrive in a dynamic and nurturing environment in a program long known for innovation and patient-centered care. The division currently has a faculty of 22 nephrologists and a long-standing fellowship program. Northwell Nephrology is well known for its expertise in clinical research in medical education, POCUS, kidney transplantation, dialysis, anemia and hyperkalemia, outcomes research, COVID-related AKI, onconephrology and glomerular diseases. In addition to its successful general nephrology fellowship, the program also has specialized fellowships in transplantation and glomerular diseases / onconephrology.
North Shore University Hospital, located in Manhasset, New York, is an 812-bed teaching hospital that is academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. We provide a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children, as well as a wide range of specialty and subspecialty residency programs, post-graduate training programs and clinical fellowships.
Long Island Jewish Medical Center is a 583-bed teaching hospital located in New Hyde Park, New York that is academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
