Job Summary: The Vice President of Information Technology is a key leadership role reporting to the CTO and is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization’s information systems. This position ensures IT initiatives align with business objectives and drives the effective operation of technology infrastructure, including data centers and cloud environments, while maintaining robust corporate security measures.The role focuses on providing strategic direction, managing IT systems, overseeing budgets and vendor relationships, fostering team development, ensuring compliance, safeguarding corporate data and systems, and staying ahead of technology trends. This leader plays a critical part in leveraging technology to address business challenges, enhance efficiency, and drive organizational growth.Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Information Systems Department, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives and ensuring the effective integration of information technology into all aspects of business operations.Systems Planning and Management: Oversee the planning, acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of information systems to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its clients. This includes ensuring the currency and security of all hardware, software, and data.Performance Metrics and KPIs: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all information systems. Monitor and analyze these metrics to identify areas of improvement and make data-driven decisions. Work with the CTO in setting moon-shot goals for performance optimization and efficiency.Departmental Oversight: Oversee multiple departmental functions including IT infrastructure, application development, data management, cybersecurity, and user support services.Cloud and Security: Strong experience in Cloud based environments and IT information Security and associated toolingBudget Management: Manage the budget for the Information Systems department, including strategic allocation of resources, forecasting, and variance analysis.Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for the procurement of hardware, software, and services. Monitor vendor performance to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.Staff Management and Development: Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team through effective recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats to the information systems, including cybersecurity threats.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards relating to information systems and data privacy.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that they are kept informed of system changes, potential risks, and performance metrics. Build strong relationships with Engineering.Technology Trends: Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits and feasibility for the organization.Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through the use of technology.Business Continuity: Develop and implement strategies for business continuity and disaster recovery to ensure the organization can continue to operate effectively under adverse conditions.Project Management: Oversee and direct IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, while meeting the defined objectives and benefits.The Vice President of Information Systems will have a strategic focus, excellent leadership abilities, and an in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies. This individual must also have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. This role reports directly to the CTO and works closely with other department leaders to align the Information Systems Department with overall business objectives.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Vice President, Chief Information Officer, or equivalent.Extensive experience overseeing data center operations and managing on-premises systems infrastructure in a highly regulated industry.Deep expertise in cloud ecosystems, particularly AWS, including migration strategies, cost management, and optimizing hybrid cloud environments.Proven ability to design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans that ensure operational resilience.Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, including design, implementation, and optimization of secure, high-performance network infrastructures.Experience managing corporate IT operations, including enterprise-level IT Help Desk services, end-user support, and workplace technology solutions.Strong proficiency in managing and integrating both on-premises and cloud-based applications and systems hosting.Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT projects, utilizing advanced project management methodologies to deliver on time and within budget.Superior critical thinking and decision-making capabilities to navigate complex challenges and drive strategic outcomes.Proven ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and protocols to ensure robust corporate data and systems security.Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends, enabling the organization to remain competitive and innovative.Preferred: Experience in healthcare tech or a SaaS based organization Budgeted salary range:Max budgeted base salary: $200KSenior Level/Executive Competencies:Devises and executes strategic plans throughout organization.Makes critical operational and organizational decisions.Sets goals and KPIs for organizational success.Along with CEO, accountable to board for financial, operational, and budgetary goals/needs.Set parameters for company POG.Works with department(s) and team(s) to develop POGs (teams develop and recommend; ELT approves).Ensures achievement of collective organizational KPIs and metrics (teams set lead measures; ELT approves).Establishes brand, culture, values, and purpose.Sets overall organizational strategy.Guides leaders and teams in executing company and department strategy.Every team member exhibits our core values:Team FirstLift Others UpShare OpenlySet and Crush GoalsDelight the Client Our urgent care solutions include:Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results.Patient Engagement (PE): Software that shows patients the wait times at various clinics, allows patients to reserve a spot in line if there's a wait, and book the appointment.Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment.Billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Software that manages coding, billing and payer contracts for clinics so they don’t have to.Teleradiology: Board certified radiologist providing accurate and timely reads of results from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, for our urgent care clients.Consulting: Consulting services for urgent care clinics to assist with opening, expanding and enhancing client's businesses
