Close to an acre of private gardens with views across London to the horizon, The Roof Gardens is a new generation members club. A place of escape, bursting with wildflowers, olive and mulberry trees, grassy lawns and hidden nooks. An Art Deco gem created in 1938, The Roof Gardens has a legendary legacy. People have come together, the curious, creative, riotous, radical and respected alike. Every chapter scatters their seeds in the soil; we are merely the latest gardeners in its ongoing story.

Created for season-by-season, morning-to-moonlight experiences. Al fresco Italian in the Walled Garden, vibrant, healthy twists on club classics in the Sun Pavilion, live performances and cosy cabanas in the Spanish Garden and late-night revelry in our den of decadence, the Biba Bar. Curated talks, debates, supper clubs and intimate celebrations in Esme's private villa. The Roof Gardens' community is united by open-mindedness, optimism and kindness, not defined by background.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Head Bartender to join The Roof Gardens. You will be leading and developing a highly trained, charismatic team whose collective goal is to deliver excellence to our members and create drinks which are immaculately and imaginatively executed.

You will be proud to uphold the club's service standards, and deliver beautiful and delicious drinks, every time. We seek somebody with solid experience in high-end drinks service environments, an impeccable demeanour, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You should have a great eye for detail too and be conscientious in the execution of your duties.

• Key Responsibilities: Exceptional Service: Be the primary point of contact for member feedback, handling any queries or team conflicts immediately to enhance overall dining experience.

• Team Development: Training new bartenders and barbacks, as well as providing ongoing guidance and support to existing staff. Supervising the bar team during shifts to ensure quality service.

• Service Standards: Produce beautiful hot and cold drinks for members following agreed recipes and SOP's, ensuring impeccable presentation and efficient service.

• Compliance: Ensure the bar operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to alcohol service, health and safety, and sanitation.

• Menu Development: Collaborate with management to create and update drink menus, including crafting new cocktails, and ensuring that offerings are both appealing to customers and profitable for the establishment.

• Safety & Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for the team and members. Enforcing responsible drinking policies and taking appropriate action in the event of any incidents or emergencies.

Skills & Requirements

• Accomplished mixology skills and passion for craft; strong barista skills or willingness to learn
• Enthusiastic with lots of energy, able to stay composed under pressure
• Understanding of luxury lifestyle market and experience in fast-paced, multi-outlet businesses
• Focus on customer experience while performing duties
• Detail-oriented with ability to anticipate issues
• Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
• Friendly demeanour, enjoys supporting colleagues to fulfil potential
