Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:
Member Experience Associates are the face of the JCC of Stamford and are responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service as they interact in a friendly, helpful and professional manner with all who enter our doors. As an essential part of the Member Services Team, this role ensures that all interactions with the JCC staff and facilities represent the absolute best experience possible.
Part-time and full-time shifts available at $17 - $19 per hour. Weekend associates needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Principal Responsibilities:
- Create a positive welcoming environment for all those who come to the JCC of Stamford (also known as The J)
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, non-members, prospective members, program participants, guests and staff at The J, in person and over the phone
- Check-in members, program participants and guests using J procedures
- Provide information regarding membership, policies and procedures, program events and classes, current and upcoming activities in a timely and efficient manner to both customers and staff
- Answer phones politely and professionally, redirecting all calls to the appropriate staff and helping members find solutions directly whenever possible
- Use JCC membership software to process financial transactions including class registrations, personal training, private swimming lessons, program events, and membership transactions, enter new members and make changes and updates to members accounts with a high degree of accuracy
- Take reservations for group exercise classes and sports courts
- Make sure the welcome desk is kept neat and tidy with all flyers and materials replenished as needed
- Report maintenance and facilities requests to appropriate staff
- Additional clerical duties as needed
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and represent the J in a positive light at all times
- Eternal optimist, positively exemplifying interpersonal skills and commitment to providing quality customer service
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to learn the JCCs membership software
- Good typing skills and accurate data entry are a must
- Ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks
- Detail oriented
- Dependable and reliable
- Flexible schedule (some weekend work required at times)
- A positive, warm, friendly and personable attitude
- Good oral and written communication skills

- High school graduate or some college
- Minimum of two years of customer service or related experience.
