New Britain is a suburb just 15 minutes outside of Hartford, Connecticut. The family-friendly city is home to many parks, museums, galleries, and restaurants. The New Britain Museum of American Art collection boasts over 8,400 paintings, sculptures, and more. Open and welcoming to all ages is The Connecticut Science Center which hosts over 165 interactive exhibits. The Bradley International Airport is a quick 30-minute drive from New Britain.
The Family Birth Place is staffed by board-certified obstetricians and specialists 24/7 including on-site, board-certified anesthesiologists for pain control and perinatologists for high-risk pregnancies. The NICU, part of the Ferdinand Sauer, MD Family BirthPlace, provides advanced care for babies born prematurely or full-term newborns requiring special care. The hospital also offers a variety of programs and classes including topics like breastfeeding, parenthood, birth and more.
