Student Union Facilities and Event Services
Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Student Union Facilities and Event Services as a Operations Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2025.
Operation Assistants are responsible for reviewing the daily setup reports, and for the setup of equipment and fixtures for events in and around the Russell Union, Williams Center, and associated facilities.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
* Provides consistent and high level of customer service to all customers and guests
* Reads/reviews daily operations report and implement the required setups for daily events in the Russell Union, Williams Center, and associated facilities
* Setups and takedown equipment associated with events
* Completes required event/program documentation
* Maintains cleanliness and order of all equipment in all storage rooms
* Assists with custodial as needed
* Maintains a safe and clean work environment
* Attends staff meeting as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Shift Specifics
* Up to 20 hours per week
* Flexible with schedule of availability
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
* Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Proposed Salary
$8.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
