Senior Quantity Surveyor
Birmingham
Construction Consultancy
A UK wide Construction Consultancy, with offices in key parts on the country, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their well establish and successful team.
They have built a strong reputation and are well established, specialising in building projects at all stages in multiple sectors. This includes Hotels and Residential.
Based in Central Birmingham, our client combines complete cost and Project Management services.
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining an organisation founded on the principle of employing the very best people in the industry. All of whom have been responsible for the successful delivery of many high-profile projects in recent years.
About the role:
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor will take on responsibility for numerous projects and work closely with the project teams throughout delivery. You will be responsible for projects between £1m and £200m within multiple sectors
Your role will include :
* Cost management, ensuring that the project remains within budget.
* Provide advice on contracts
* Liaise with architects and engineers on the cost implications and provide alternative choices of materials to allow for flexible budgets
* Prepare tendering documents
* Provide Contract Administration services.
* Be the main point of contact to clients throughout each phase.
The role would ideally suit someone with a proven track record in similar sectors of industry, with a background in Quantity Surveying and chartered through RICS.
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor will have every opportunity to progress to a more senior role within the company and progress to managing a team, should they desire.
About the requirements:
The successful Quantity Surveyor needs to have extensive experience of managing a range of projects in relevant sectors.
* A balance of working on new build and refurbishment would be ideal.
* Exceptional client facing skills are prerequisite as is the ability to manage projects ranging in value.
* You will be a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
About the salary:
* Up to £60,000
