Job Requirements
In order to be qualified at the GS-11 level, you must possess one of the following: A PhD or three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as law enforcement, security studies, or another closely related field; or possess an LLM. - OR - One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 in the Federal service, creating new training course materials to ensure their alignment with standards or guidelines; researching new methods, technologies, or policies which can improve existing training programs; tracking work completed by a team to ensure it is completed on deadline; and reviewing training program accreditation documentation to ensure it is complete and correct. - OR - A combination of graduate level education as described in A and specialized experience as described in B that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement. (Please note: only graduate education in excess of the two years - normally 36 semester hours - may be used in this calculation.) For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
