Verve People are an agency who hire temporary & permanent staff on behalf of our clients.
We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Chef for the Chester Area.
Shift pattern of 36.5 hours per week, 5 days per week over a 7 day rota.
Job Summary: As a Chef De Partie, you will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. You will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dishes while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards.
Section Management: Manage a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, pastry, or sauce) and supervise junior staff in that area.
Quality Control: Ensure all food items meet the clients quality and presentation standards before serving.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Sous Chef and other team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work space.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef De Partie is a must and worked in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
