Job Description
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. This position will be expected to be in non-pay status for 1 pay periods per year between mid November to late November.

Additionally, the park includes a wide array of cultural resources, including 318 historic structures, two national historic landmarks and over 300 archeological sites. Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following screen out job element: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN OUT) Applicants must show in their application package that they have the ability to do all of the following: Planning, laying-out, and selecting proper tools and materials for Maintenance Worker Trails/Building projects including: building/rehabilitating dry stone, retaining walls, water bars, checks, and causeways; building and repairing log and dimensional wood structures including bridges, retaining walls, handrails, steps and causeways; utilizing a chainsaw to fell and remove trees from trails and housing areas; remodeling kitchens and bathrooms; repairing poured concrete foundations; maintaining/replacing plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks and showers; preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces; Experience living and working out of backcountry camps for up to 8 days at a time and work cohesively as part of a crew; and can train and lead others on the above tasks while working on their own initiative.
