Job Description

This position is a working leader assigned responsibility for building and utility maintenance work. Incumbent performs the duties and responsibilities of a craftsman in the maintenance, preservation, and construction operations of the park including historic structures, buildings and other park facilities and physical resources.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Lead Or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments SCREEN OUT: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience that demonstrates the ability to lead or supervise maintenance mechanics equivalent to the WG-10 level. My work experience demonstrates my ability to organized assignments for subordinates, estimate materials and manpower, prepare work orders and reports, train others on maintenance mechanic work in at least two of the follow trades (Masonry, Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic, Utilities Systems Repair-Operator and Engineering Equipment Operator), explain work manuals and procedures, and motivate others to work efficiently and productively. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
