Job Description
This position is located in Grand Canyon National Park, in the Facility Management Division. A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work) Ability To Use Electrical Drawings Knowledge of Electrical Equipment Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices Trouble shooting (electrical) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified your resume must reflect that you work at the journeyman level to perform all normal tasks assigned under general supervision. Examples of qualifying experience include: (1) Installing, maintaining, and/or repairing electrical equipment; (2) applying the National Electric Code (NEC) to projects to select the correct materials and methods for an installation or repair; (3) bending and/or installing Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT, rigid, flex and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) conduits for installation of electrical systems; (4) utilizing mathematical formulas basic to the electrician trade to determine voltage and resistance. In preparing your application, describe in detail the experience and training which you have had that specifically prepared you for this job and to perform the duties described for this job.
