Job Description
This temporary position is located in the Gettysburg National Military Park's Maintenance Division under the Landscape Preservation Branch which maintains and preserves the cultural landscapes of Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site. The position serves as a working leader over a crew that performs seasonal work such as mowing, trimming, tree care/removal, trail maintenance, roadway maintenance, fence construction and repair, and volunteer projects.

Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Lead Or Supervise Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments SCREEN OUT: Possesses the ability to lead or supervise, performing the full range of duties of a Maintenance Worker Leader, WL-4749-05 AND possesses knowledge and experience to demonstrate the ability to independently lead a crew to completion of a variety of landscape preservation tasks that include: 1.) Operation of landscape equipment, trucks, trailers, and tractors; 2) trail maintenance; 3) fence repair and construction; 4) trail maintenance; 5) tree removal, 6) construction projects; and 7) leading a work crew. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
